The Teenage Engineering OD-11 is a wireless loudspeaker with a story: a faithful reboot of Stig Carlsson's celebrated 1974 ortho-acoustic cube, re-engineered by Teenage Engineering with modern streaming inside, here in red.
The compact cube is designed on ortho-acoustic principles to sound right in real rooms — on a shelf, near a wall — rather than in an anechoic lab, delivering a remarkably big, balanced sound from its minimal form. Inside, built-in amplification and Wi-Fi streaming (including AirPlay and Spotify Connect) play directly from your devices, with the companion app and the optional Orthoremote wireless knob for control.

“The remote communicates via low-power Bluetooth 4.0, and Teenage Engineering says it can last for up to two years on a single battery. ... The speaker itself has just a few basic controls along the very bottom edge. There's a power button the front, while the side has both volume controls and a minijack input.
