The Sontronics Orpheus is a multi-pattern large-diaphragm condenser microphone and one of the company's founding models, still in the lineup two decades on — a testament to its big, clean, characterful sound.
Selectable polar patterns adapt it to the job at hand: tight cardioid for lead vocals, and alternative patterns for room miking, ensembles and stereo work. It captures sources with impressive scale and clarity, making it a favourite for vocals, acoustic instruments and room duty alike. Phantom power drives its condenser circuit in the usual way.
