Designed to be a true studio workhorse mic, the Sontronics Mercury is a flexible tube condenser microphone well suited for use on vocals and a wide variety of instruments. The mic features a variable pick-up pattern dial that allows you to sweep between cardioid, figure 8, and omnidirectional polar patterns—allowing the mic to be used for multiple applications.

The mic features an European-made 12AT7/ECC81 tube to provide the rich, warm character only a real valve can deliver, while a 75 Hz high-pass filter is on board to reduce unneeded low-end when necessary. The -10 dB pad can be engaged when you're recording louder sources, and the Mercury can handle up to 125 dB SPL.
