The Novation Circuit Rhythm is a standalone sampler and drum-machine groovebox built for hands-on beatmaking, from first sample to finished track, with no computer required. It is the pure-sampler sibling to Circuit Tracks, with eight identical sample tracks.
Record directly through the rear 1/4-inch inputs, then slice, resample, reverse, loop and play samples chromatically across eight tracks, each with 32-step patterns that chain up to 256 steps for full songs. A 4x8 grid of 32 velocity-sensitive RGB pads plus eight macro encoders drive the workflow, while Delay, Reverb, sidechain and a master compressor, along with Grid FX such as vinyl sim, beat repeat, reverse, filter, gater, phaser and digitiser, shape your sound live.

“In my mind circuit tracks would be great if you want to come up with a quick sketch of something. If only it was stereo. I mean we're in the 21st century. But then again it probably was never intended to be for stereo sampling and precise sample manipulation. ... I have both. For mangling up samples/sound design 404 is the bigger playground, and it's more flexible on the chopping front too. The Rhythm's strength is in programming sequences.”
