The release of "A" coincided with a seismic shift in the music scene.

The punk and new wave movements were challenging the dominance of established rock acts. Jethro Tull, under the visionary leadership of frontman Ian Anderson, sought to adapt and remain relevant in this changing landscape. "A" 12" Vinyl LP Jethro Tull – Benefit pulls you into that uneasy space where blues slips into something sharper and harder to pin down.

Produced by Ian Anderson, with cover design by Terry Ellis and Ruan O’Lochlainn, this 1970 album leans on tracks like “With You There to Help Me” and “To Cry You a Song” to show a band quietly shifting its shape. Jethro Tull – Benefit shows the band shedding its blues skin and stepping into something sharper and less predictable.

Featuring 'With You There to Help Me' and 'To Cry You a Song'.
