The Gibson SG Standard is the definitive SG: a lightweight, double-cutaway solidbody with a fast neck and a punchy, midrange-forward voice, in classic Heritage Cherry. It carries the late-60s looks and feel that made the SG a rock icon.
A solid mahogany body and rounded-profile mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays and a long-tenon neck joint give singing sustain and easy upper-fret access on a 24.75-inch scale. A pair of 490R and 490T Alnico II humbuckers delivers versatile, PAF-flavoured tone from warm cleans to driving overdrive, with a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, Grover tuners and a black full-face pickguard.
