Great album, this is a return to smokey's roots. Highly recommended in my book. ... Very underated Smokey lp - however it is a personal favorite of mine: an album I have loved from my early teenage years. Its a go to record when I want to unwind. Very soulful and mature. Track for track, this is probably my favorite solo Smokey album.

All the songs on side one are melodic and memorable, and/or have some clever lyrical wordplay going on. Side two isn't quite as strong, but all in all, it makes for a good listen because Robinson sticks to what he does best - romantic ballads, with none of the disco taint that impacted his previous few releases.
