The Numark NS4FX is a feature-packed 4-channel DJ controller for Serato, built for event, club and livestreaming DJs who want full control over up to four decks. It ships with Serato DJ Lite, is fully mapped and ready for Serato DJ Pro, and also works with Virtual DJ and djay Pro AI.
Two 6-inch capacitive-touch jog wheels with multicolour centre displays show track position, BPM and pitch, and Layer buttons let each jog control two software decks for true four-deck mixing. Each channel has a dedicated fader, 3-band EQ with full kill and a large high-/low-pass filter knob, while 16 performance pads cover Cue, Auto Loop, Fader Cuts, Sampler and more. A dedicated FX section adds six selection buttons, parameter controls and two toggle switches.
Pro connectivity includes a balanced XLR main output, RCA booth output, two microphone inputs (one switchable to aux), and 1/4-inch plus 1/8-inch headphone jacks, with 24-bit audio and main/mic summing over USB for livestreaming. “The build quality and components (faders, jogwheels, knobs, buttons, paddles) are all the same as the Mixtrack FX units, but that’s no bad thing, as these days all Numark controllers are very well built for the price. Particularly, note the booth outputs and the cord clamp on the back – good features for mobile DJs. The aesthetic is slightly different to the Mixtracks (the NS4FX is lighter grey, and the pads glow white, not red), but it retains all that marks the Mixtrack Pro FX and Mixtrack Platinum FX out from lesser budget controllers, such as the long-throw pitch controls, weighted jogs, and separate looping controls.”
