Overview
The Nord Electro 6D 61 is a lightweight stage keyboard built around three independent sound sections, Organ, Piano and Sample Synth, that can be layered or split. It is a gigging favourite for its sound and portability.
Its 61-note semi-weighted waterfall keybed suits rapid organ runs and synth licks as well as piano parts. The Organ section offers B3 tonewheel, Vox and Farfisa models with physical drawbars, a 122 rotary-speaker simulation and a Dual Organ mode; the Piano section draws on the Nord Piano Library with Advanced String Resonance; and the Sample Synth uses the Nord Sample Library 3.0. Six split points with crossfade allow smooth zone transitions.
