The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32 Ohm is the mobile-friendly version of the studio-standard closed-back headphone — the same legendary German sound, tuned to run loud and full from laptops, interfaces and phones.
The closed-back design isolates tracking sessions while the 32-ohm voice coils reach full level without a headphone amp, delivering the DT 770's famous deep bass extension, present treble detail and wide closed-back image. Soft velour earpads and the robust, spring-steel headband handle years of daily sessions, with parts fully replaceable — the reason DT 770s outlive the studios around them.

“At just south of $200, the DT770 Pro competes with all kinds of headphones from all kinds of manufacturers. If you’re after a flat, completely analytical sound, I’d recommend the AKG K553 Pro over the 770. If you’re looking for a neutral/warm sound, the nearest contender (the only contender, really) would be the Shure SRH840. However, this Shure model requires a half-decent amp to properly drive it, where as the 32 ohm version of the 770 is a perfect match for low-power devices.”Read full review →
