“Ultimately though, and this is where all the Focusrite 4th Gen interfaces excel, it’s the usability that makes them so good. I do not doubt that even a complete beginner could get the 18i20 set up and start making multi-mic recordings it’s that easy to use. “For me, the only upgrade I'd want from an updated 18i20 would be if they made the two ADAT pairs capable of doing 16 channels instead of just 8 but higher sample rate. Weird choice for them to keep doing that when others like the Audient Evo 16 offer all those options through the ADAT pairs. I think there are a lot more people who'd prefer to get 16 channels at 48k than just 8 but being able to go up to 96k. The only way to get more channels from Focusrite is to spend FIVE times as much on their Red 8.”Read full review →
