Arturia KeyStep Pro Controller & Sequencer
The Arturia KeyStep Pro is a four-track MIDI/CV controller and sequencer that acts as the command centre for an entire hardware, modular and software rig. It combines the playability of a keyboard with sequencing power that few devices at any size can match.
A 37-note slim keyboard with velocity and aftertouch, key LEDs and touch strips drives four independent polyphonic sequencers, each holding 16 patterns of up to 64 steps with 16 notes per step, chainable into songs and switchable via scenes. Track 1 doubles as a 24-part drum sequencer, tracks 2 to 4 add arpeggiators, and five touch-sensitive encoders edit pitch, gate, velocity, time shift and randomness per step. Crisp OLED displays, a looper touch strip and a built-in metronome speaker make it stage-ready.

“However, in most sequencing or live performance scenarios I'd rather have independent CC control maps as part of each regular track, and recorded within track patterns. Five controls to share among the four tracks is also a bit underpowered, and the assigned CC parameters are global, not stored with your Project.
