Arturia KeyLab 61 MK3, Black
Connectivity centres on USB-C, which provides both bus power and high-speed MIDI communication with computers and the Arturia Software Center. A 5-pin MIDI output allows direct connection to external hardware instruments, enabling standalone control without relying on a DAW. The rear panel accommodates sustain, expression and auxiliary pedals, all freely assignable.
Thanks to MCU and HUI protocol support, KeyLab 61 mk3 integrates directly with major DAWs including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio and Bitwig Studio, offering dedicated control modes and automatic mapping. For clear and intuitive operation, the Arturia KeyLab 61 mk3's control panel is divided into three main sections.
On the left are the pitch and modulation wheels, with dedicated buttons for octave and transpose adjustment. The 12 performance pads can trigger samples, chords or MIDI data, responding to velocity and pressure for expressive control. Arturia's KeyLab 61 mk3 ships with a comprehensive software bundle centred around Analog Lab Pro, which provides over 2,000 presets drawn from Arturia's V Collection instruments, spanning analogue and digital synthesizers, acoustic and electric pianos, organs, string machines and hybrid textures.

“Arturia, after introducing the Keylab Essentials mk3 in 2023 with a number of revisions to the design language and philosophy, along with its 88-key variant in early 2024, has now launched the long awaited KeyLab mk3. With the Essential line up representing their more budget offerings, the Keylab mk3 kicks things up a notch with a premium build and feature set. “The one I have in for review is the 61‑keyed black version and it’s gorgeous. The off‑centred colour screen is set in a square of shiny fingerprint‑attracting plastic, surrounded by eight buttons with a lovely silver hi‑fi‑style encoder just to the right. Arturia have shaved off a bit of the depth, which helps it feel neater and slimmer, but at the cost of four pads and a row of what were probably useful buttons.”Read full review →
