“I am perplexed I had the Monkeys and the Adams for one night, it took us (three people) only a few seconds to decide in favour of the Adams. To my ears the Monkeys sounded boxy and messy, as if the resonance of the enclosure was interfering with the music. “Banana Mania has an extensive customisation catalogue that allows you to fully change the attire of the main monkeys – though not the supporting cast – and also their balls from the shop. More characters will be available as DLC over time. Banana Mania already has several add-on packs. For existing fans though, the original soundtrack is a must buy. It is disappointing to not have it included in the base game like many other remakes would do, but is well worth the £3.99.”Read full review →
“They've recreated all 300 stages across Monkey Ball 1, 2, and even the new stages of Deluxe as faithfully as possible with only a few minor changes — and if you don't want any changes there's even an unlockable level pack that presents the adapted ones in their original state. “The high shelf kicks in at 10kHz within a range of 6dB above and below the default setting. The low shelf acts within the same range but below 100Hz. The Gibbons don’t feature a high pass filter, but if you’re looking at teaming them up with one of the Monkey Banana Gibbon 10” subwoofers, they have a built-in crossover.”Read full review →
